This book is provides a quick and convenient way to get answers to any nutrition or exercise related question. The information provided is very concise and useful. For instance, I my doctor recommended that I take vitamin D supplements, and within a couple of minutes, I knew how much to take, what foods provide that vitamin, groups of people at high risk for vitamin D deficiency and the consequences of having too much or too little. When I looked at the exercise section, I quickly had a nice guideline for how much aerobic and muscle strengthening exercises I should strive to do and understood that both types of exercise are important for being physically fit.

I found Elisa Zied’s “Nutrition at Your Fingertips” to be a great comprehensive GUIDE regarding nutrition and an overall healthy lifestyle. This is also an outstanding guide for health professionals and their clientele. The book is easy to read, no matter what your level of fitness, etc. I will recommend this book to all of my clients!

I love this book! It’s a fabulous resource for consumers, and for health professionals. Elisa Zied is a top-notch writer and registered dietitian who does her homework, then presents the information in an easy-to-understand manner.

As the author of several nutrition books, including Expect the Best: Your Guide to Healthy Eating Before, During, and After Pregnancy (American Dietetic Association) I particularly recommend Creating a Daily Meal Plan, and What’s a Portion? These sections personalize nutrition by providing the tools to calculate your own calorie needs and to construct a balanced eating plan, with foods in the proper portions, that works for you. Nutrition at Your Fingertips lives up to its name; it’s a resource I will return to again and again.

Jam-packed with information that’s easy to find and easy to understand. I keep this book on my library shelf and find myself reaching for it again and again when I need information on everything from vitamin A to zinc! There’s even helpful info on weight loss, food sensitivities and safe food preparation. A keeper!

Nutrition At Your Fingertips is a great book. If you have questions about nutrition, this book has the answers. Accurate information is important to me, so I bought two copies. One for me and one for a friend. This book provides easy to understand and trustworthy information.
